2022 Red Dot Design Awards Honor R-Zero's Vive

Bould Design is honored to share that the R-Zero Vive has won a Red Dot Product Design Award. Red Dot annually assembles an internationally respected panel of design experts to appraise the quality of a vast array of entries. Evaluating form, function, and level of innovation, they award only the best among them. The Red Dot symbol is widely recognized as a mark of good design. Bould Design has been R-Zero’s design partner since their first groundbreaking UV-C disinfection product, Arc, launched early in the pandemic.

As part of R-Zero’s revolutionary system of IoT-connected biosafety technologies, Vive is their first device that safely disinfects occupied spaces. Leveraging novel far-UV technology, Vive disinfects in real-time, eliminating pathogens while occupants go about normal activities. 

The patented three-bulb design and nano filter technology deliver powerful yet human-safe 222nm far-UV that inactivates 99% of pathogens in its’ field of transmission. The innovative triangular configuration evenly distributes pathogen neutralizing light all around the device while the soft, understated form puts occupants at ease as their environment is kept safe.
