Arable Raises $20 Million Series B to Optimize Agriculture with Data

Arable, a company dedicated to creating affordable tools for collecting and analyzing agricultural data for crop optimization, has recently raised a $20 Million Series B round of funding. The ag-tech start-up has seen significant sales growth since the launch of its first major product, the Arable Mark, an all-in-one device for monitoring crop vitality and weather.

Arable was founded in 2014 by Adam Wolf who recognized the need for more empirical data within the ag sector and approached Bould Design to help turn his ideas into reality. With Arable data, farmers can easily monitor crop health throughout the planting and growing seasons. The data collected helps to identify opportunities for more efficient, sustainable farming practices.

Bould Design worked with Arable to craft a product that is easy to install, reliable, and durable. The iconic circular design centers around a photovoltaic array powering the device sensors and cellular communications. The clear sensor dome measures rainfall via the frequency and intensity of raindrops on the device surface.

Thanks to this new round of funding, Arable will be able to reach a wider market while moving forward with new initiatives for bringing meaningful data and decision-making capability to farmers around the world.
