the visby devices are basically diagnostic laboratories that you can hold in your hand. the visby advantages are speed and accuracy without the expense of equipment maintenance and service contracts. rather than sending samples to a lab, testing can be done on-site in less than thirty minutes and a patient can go home with a treatment plan specific to their condition. 

the design is a straightforward reflection of the workflow. the sample port enables easy transfer of sample material into the testing chamber. a one way switch closes the port and the processing begins. led indicators signal the device power and progress and results are displayed through a transparent window. making the device easy to understand and use were the main objectives.
